Absolutely! Our tours are designed for all skill levels, including complete beginners. We provide a thorough safety briefing and basic paddling instruction before we set off. The mangrove waters are calm and sheltered, making it a very comfortable experience even for first-time kayakers.

Is it safe for non-swimmers?

Accepted Answer

Yes, it is very safe. All participants wear life jackets throughout the tour, and the kayaks are extremely stable sit-on-top models that are virtually impossible to tip over. The water in the mangrove channels is typically shallow and calm.

Can children join the tour?

Yes! Children aged 4 and above are welcome. Kids can share a tandem kayak with a parent. We provide child-sized life jackets, and children absolutely love spotting the wildlife and paddling through the mangrove tunnels. It's a wonderful family experience.

What happens if it rains?

Light rain actually makes the mangrove experience even more magical! We only cancel tours in the case of severe weather warnings (storms or heavy thunderstorms). If we do need to cancel, you'll be offered a full refund or the option to reschedule to another available date at no extra cost.

Why do tour times change every day?

Our tours are timed with the natural tide cycles. The mangrove channels and hidden passages are only accessible during certain tide levels. By timing our tours with the tides, we can take you through routes that are impossible to reach at other times — it's what makes our experience truly unique.

What should I bring?

We recommend bringing a towel, wearing comfortable clothes that can get wet (quick-dry clothing), water shoes or sandals with straps, sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses with a strap. We provide waterproof phone pouch, drinking water, and fresh fruits.

How do I get to the tour location?

We do not offer hotel pickup. Guests are required to arrange their own transportation to our starting point in Tha Maphrao. We provide a map link upon booking, and we have plenty of free parking available on-site!

How long is the tour?

The total experience is approximately 1.5 to 2 hours from arrival to departure. The on-water paddling time is around 1 to 1.5 hours, with breaks for photos, wildlife spotting, and enjoying fresh fruits. We never rush — the experience is about enjoying nature at a peaceful pace.

What wildlife might we see?

The mangrove forest is home to an incredible variety of wildlife! You might spot long-tailed macaques, water insect, monitor lizards, mud crabs, kingfishers, white-bellied sea eagles, herons, and many other bird species. We often see monkeys playing in the trees right above our kayaks!

You can book directly through our website by selecting your preferred date and tide time slot. At checkout, you can choose to pay securely online via Credit/Debit Card (Stripe) or pay on tour day using Cash (THB) or Thai QR PromptPay.

Are there crocodiles or dangerous animals?

No, there are no crocodiles or dangerous animals in our mangrove routes. The environment is very safe. You might occasionally spot a harmless water snake resting in the branches—if you do, consider yourself very lucky, as they are a rare and beautiful sight!
